Milltek Sport releases performance exhaust system for the Honda Civic Type R 2.0 i-VTEC (FN2) Available Now
The system features a connecting pipe which connects to the original manufacturer catalyst, rear silencer, left and right-hand outlet pipes, and finally, left and right connecting pipes that join the Milltek system to the original manufacturer triangular tailpipes; the ultimate in stealthy performance upgrades, at least until you fire it up…
Our development car was dyno-tested before and after fitment of the cat-back system and produced very respectable figures. As standard, the car was measured at 212.7 BHP @ 7625rpm and 152.5 lb/ft @ 6065rpm. With the Milltek system fitted, this jumped to 219.5 BHP @ 7596rpm and 159.8 lb/ft @ 6100rpm. That's a gain of +6.8bhp power gain and a torque increase of +7.3 lb/ft. We can't wait to see what happens when we add the manifold and hi-flow sports catalyst which are due for development soon!
As with all Milltek exhausts, the exhaust system is manufactured in the UK entirely from stainless steel, which doesn’t rust like some systems can. This exhaust increases power, sharpens the throttle response, improves driveability throughout the entire rev range, and releases an awesome sound – without producing the excessive volume that affects many other systems. In addition, it is designed specifically to fit the Civic Type R so no modifications are needed in order to fit it.
